Big Sur Break-ery

From top to bottom. 1. Matt on Highway One. 2. Ham and Gruyère on grilled bread at Big Sur Bakery. 3. Duck and arugula pizza at Big Sur Bakery. 4. Brown butter cookie from the Brown Butter Cookie Company in Cayucos, CA, which we stumbled upon along the drive. 5. Eggs Benedict at Deetjen's Big Sur Inn. 6. Blueberry pancakes at Deetjen's. 7. Sea life! 8. Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park. 9. Me excited about being at Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park. 10. Drinks at the Ventana Inn. 11. Blue Jay at Ventana Inn. 12. Wild Calla Lily along the river next to our hotel.

  4. Everything looks so good! I hope I can drive up to Big Sur sometime soon, I've been wanting to try out Big Sur Bakery for a while now. And of course take in the beautiful scenery.

  10. Wonderful pictures. We're not sure what Matt is doing on Highway 1. Amelia's so graceful in picture 9. We bet she could execute the Panchecko. Was Matt forced to eat the Hollandaise?

  14. Beautiful photos. Big Sur is my favorite place in California and try to visit every chance I get. I'd recognized that dish from Deetjen's anywhere! I always order that, delicious. I wish I was at Big Sur Bakery right now!
