Video Attempt: Second Annual Holiday Cocktail Spectacular

We had so much fun with last year's holiday cocktail video, we decided to make it a tradition. Though, this year, I had some very specific inspiration. Namely, the movie Cocktail. Perhaps you haven't seen it recently and need a refresher? If so, go here. (And if you do, please note that in the clip the crowd is chanting, "Do it! Do it!" before they do it.)
Cheers!

Dry Martini adapted from the movie Cocktail, The Savoy Cocktail Book, and Martha Stewart
Hot tip: The less vermouth, the drier the martini.

1/3 part Dry Vermouth
2/3 part Gin
olives

Pump up the song Hippy Hippy Shake. Then, in a cocktail shaker half full of ice cubes, combine gin and vermouth. Shake well, and strain into martini glasses. Garnish with olives, and serve.

Champagne Cocktail via The Savoy Cocktail Book
Put into a wine glass one lump of sugar, and saturate it with Angostura Bitters. Having added to this 1 lump of ice, fill the glass with Champagne, squeeze on top a piece of lemon peel, and serve with a slice of orange.

Ramos Gin Fizz via Martha Stewart
1 ounce gin
3 dashes fresh lime juice
3 dashes lemon juice
3 dashes orangeflower water
2 teaspoons superfine sugar
1 large egg white
1/4 cup light cream (or half-and-half)
1/4 cup seltzer
Ground cinnamon, optional (for garnish)

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine gin, lime juice, lemon juice, orangeflower water, sugar, egg white, and light cream (or half-and-half). Shake vigorously, and pour into a cocktail glass. Top drink with seltzer, and garnish with ground cinnamon if desired; serve immediately.

Can I come over and watch Dirty Dancing with you sometime? We can re-enact that watermelon scene. I'm gonna go watch Cocktail now.

I don't even have a cocktail shaker but now I'm gonna get one. And I loved seeing your kitchen! I like the galley style and all its warmness.

YES! but while we're at it, can we also reenact the scene where she's practicing her dance steps on those stairs and across the bridge, you know, while the song Wipe Out plays?!

Thanks, Lydia! I made another dry martini the other night and I must admit, pouring it into the glass is quite satisfying.

I'm totally incorporating Cocktail-style dancing (perhaps with some tunes from a hidden iPod dock?) into my cocktail making this season. It's going to be awesome. Love the video and I agree with the Ramos Gin Fizz - citrus and milk? Very weird combo.
