  7. Love them both! Instead of my car, my private lunches (or tuning out certain coworkers) requires a set of headphones and some music. I'll have to try the car sometime though...

  10. Such a good TIP! Quiet time away from the computer at work is key. You make eating eating lunch in the car look super cozy! Definitely gotta start doing that!

  11. Tip #6 would make Lewis Carroll proud! Also, Tip #7-classiest car lunch I've ever seen. During school, mine were more like "oatmeal in the mug, eaten while freeway traffic inches along" or "this torn piece of paper towel will definitely prevent crumbs from my toasted english muffin from getting all over the car"

  13. Tip no. 7 is my fave yet! I totally get this. But now that I work by myself at home all day, the only person I need to get away from is me.

  14. Does the tip pit have any availability this winter? We're looking for something with ocean views (preferably) and a double bath for under $280/night. Thanks in advance.

  15. Am I way out of line to submit Tip 7b as a tip for your Tip 7? When dining alone in one's car, sit in the PASSENGER'S seat! No pesky steering wheel, and you can use the open glove box as a tray! HEL-lo!

    1. Hi D.D.! The folding knife is an opinel: http://www.stoddards.com/opinel-pocket-knife-no-8/?gclid=CLLi7IjgrLMCFal7QgodIk0A_g

And the mug is this amazing hand-thrown Japanese one I got where I work, at Heath Ceramics. We had an exhibition featuring a group of ceramists from Mashiko, Japan... the good news? There's one left at the Los Angeles store. It also comes in pink... give the store a call if you want one! xo

  22. Amelia,

I agree with that big time blog thats says your blog is one of the best on the internet! It could also be the winner of a separate category, "what I did while not writing my literature review!"
Thank you for the fun distraction from life; your humor, food and music selection are right up my ally. You're beautiful!

  23. Love, love, love the tray for lunch in the car! Why didn't I ever think of that? I hate eating on my lap (things keep falling off my legs), but love the tray idea. My lunch-time thanks to you.
